Earthways Women

Sara Harris and Susan Kistin, co-founders of EarthWays, met on a Vision Quest in August of 2000 when both were celebrating the powerful transition of their fiftieth birthdays! A spark was ignited then to pursue this profound earth based work together and the idea for EarthWays was born.

The original vision for EarthWays was to include a larger staff of quest guides, so it could be an organization that could make available many ways for connecting with the profound guidance of the wild earth. That dream became an exciting reality this last year, when Cynthia Morrow and Sahara Chaldean were invited into the fold! Cynthia and Sahara are both dedicated and talented Wilderness Guides with an abiding respect for the ways of the natural world. We are thrilled that EarthWays is now a collective of four!

EarthWays is committed to restoring our damaged relationship with the natural world through our programs, which bring people out into direct connection with the many wonders of the earth. We also know that through earth-based healing practices, a sustainable relationship to self, to the earth, and to our communities is revitalized. Many of our participants have told us that their experience on the land is magical, and life changing.

"Your respect for nature and the people who do the journey is honorable. Your reflection to each individual is priceless and there are no words for how it touched my heart and soul as each person shared and you reflected their story back to them. Beautiful!"
Mary Lou Henry
